October 22, 2010- This is the last date of Windows XP OEM on new notebook PCs. Yes, as you know, Windows XP Service Pack 2 support will end on Just 13th, 2010, and after that, Windows XP OEM will no longer to able to pre-install Windows XP Home on new notebooks.
The best deal is to move to Windows 7 or upgrade to Windows XP SP3.
Just a reminder- Windows XP Service Pack 3 will continue through April 2014.
